Roman Rädle is leaving the CDC

Roman Rädle is leaving the Centre for Digital Dreativity to work for another AU department the Computer Science Department.

In December 2018 Roman's postdoc position at the CDC was coming to an end which led him to look for the next steps in his career. Meanwhile, the Computer Science Department at Aarhus University was searching for a new assistant professor. Roman himself calls this perfect timing.

Perfect timing because Aarhus University frequently scores high at university rankings and the Computer Science Department is internationally well-known for their excellent and impactful research, but more importantly was the people who worked there Roman says.

Through his work at the CDC, he previously collaborated with colleagues from the Computer Mediated Activity group and the Ubiquitous Computing and Interaction group in the Computer Science department which he had truly enjoyed. The position as assistant professor allowed him to continue collaborating with his colleagues on a regular basis.

Even though Roman is leaving the CDC, he says that his tasks won’t be that much different from his work at the CDC and he will still be collaborating and working closely together with people from the CDC.

His future job at the Computer Science Department will focus on tools for education that work across a user's device ecology and help them to solve their tasks—often distributed across many devices—in a much more joyful and effective way.

We at the CDC wish Roman the best of luck in the future, and we can not wait to collaborate with him in the future!
